May Ibubuga Ka Ba?

*Bible Readings: Isaiah 26:1-6; Psalm 118:1, 8-9, 19-21, 25-27; Matthew 7:21, 24-27

May kakilala kang ganitong tao. (Maling akala. Haha!)

Grabe, parang alam nya lahat! ‘Pag hiningan mo naman ng suggestion, “Ikaw, what do you think should be done?” Naloko na. Ngangâ si kuya o ate!

Maraming ganitong tao. Ampaw. Puro hangin lang. Puro salita. Pagdating sa gawa, wala namang maibuga. But this is more applicable in terms of faith. Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”

Translation: ‘Wag kang puro salita.

Oops! Tayo pala.

Too many times it is very easy for us all to look very passionate and devoted Christians on the outside. Pero sa loob, hangin lang. There’s nothing. Jesus isn’t there.

‘Yan ang ampaw na Kristyano: Christian on the outside but no Christ inside.

Jesus is very clear on what will happen if we put our trust in Him – the Rock: “Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock” (Matthew 7:24).

The prophet Isaiah* has been clear on that: “Trust in the Lord forever! For the Lord is an eternal Rock.” Tha Psalmist* too: “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.” If we truly follow Jesus as Lord and an eternal Rock, do we put our trust in Him? O kapag bumagsak tayo sa isang subject sa school, can we still say that “God is good”?

Because that will determine where our foundation is laid – on the Eternal Rock or on flimsy sand of this world.

Friend, do you want a stable life? Do you want a life of peace and joy hindi “dahil walang problema” kundi masaya ka “sa kabila ng mga hirap at problema”? Believe in God, pray, and call Him Lord, yes, pero do more than that. Will you make it all real and authentic by putting all of your trust in God?

I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior 14 years ago. One night I knelt and talked to God. My life has never been the same ever since. Will you make that same decision tonight?

Surrender now and experience victory in Him before everything in your life collapses and gets completely ruined*.
